To provide the Cabinet with an overview of the Development Plan for the Building Control Service.  As part of this, it has been identified for the need to increase resources within the Team to provide both capacity and resilience.  Therefore, the Cabinet is being asked for the authority to increase the permanent establishment of the service.

RESOLVED:

That:-

1.           Approval be given to increase the permanent establishment of the Building Control Service by one Full-Time Equivalent (FTE).

2.           Having approved Recommendation 1. above, an additional £57,000 corporate savings/income target be added to the revenue budgets in order to create the funding required to support the additional post.
