Purpose:

The Portfolio Holder for Resources and Property will be asked to consider the recommendations of the Performance and Audit Scrutiny Committee regarding seeking approval for the Annual Treasury Management and Financial Resilience Report for 2021 to 2022.

Decision:

Recommended to Council: (27 September 2022)

 

That the Annual Treasury Management and Financial Resilience Report (2021 to 2022), as contained in Report number: FRS/WS/22/003, be approved.

Reasons for the decision:

The report is part of the Council’s management and governance

arrangements for treasury management activities under the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Code of Practice on treasury management. It provides a comprehensive assessment of treasury activities from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.

 

On behalf of Cabinet, the Portfolio Holder for Resources and Property was required to consider the Annual Treasury Management and Financial Resilience Report for 2021 to 2022 prior to seeking its approval by Council.

Alternative options considered:

As it is a requirement of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy for Council to approve the Annual Treasury Management and Financial Resilience Report (2021 to 2022), no other options have been considered.
