Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Michael Anderson, Chris Barker, John Bloodworth and Nigel Roman.

 

Councillor Christine Mason was also unable to attend the meeting.

There were no substitutions declared.

Public Participation

Members of the public who live or work in West Suffolk are invited to put one question or statement of not more than three minutes duration relating to items in Part 1 of the agenda only. If a question is asked and answered within three minutes the person who asked the question may ask a supplementary question that arises from the reply. A person wishing to speak must register to speak at least 15 minutes before the time the meeting is scheduled to start. There is an overall time limit of 15 minutes for public speaking which may be extended at the Chairman’s discretion.

 

(Following the informal discussions with St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Licensing and Regulatory Committee on Item 4 below, Members are reminded that no further debate shall take place.  However, Members are requested to formally resolve Item 4 below.)

This item was considered in the informal joint session with St Edmundsbury Borough Council, whereby the Committee heard from one Hackney Carriage drivers.

Further to the informal joint discussions held prior to the meeting with St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Licensing and Regulatory Committee, the Committee formally considered Report No: LIC/FH/19/001.

 

Councillor Simon Cole moved the recommendation, this was duly seconded by Councillor Carol Lynch and with the vote being unanimous, it was:

 

          RESOLVED:

 

That the updated West Suffolk Fare Card, being Option 1, summarised in Appendix C, to Report No: LIC/FH/19/001, be approved.
