Community Chest: 2018/2019 Monitoring and Evaluation PDF 130 KB Report No: GWP/SE/18/001 Minutes: (Councillor John Burns declared a local non-pecuniary interest, as a trustee of Haverhill Community Trust in his capacity as a Haverhill Town Councillor and remained in the meeting for the consideration of the report.)
The Working Party received Report No: GWP/SE/18/001 which provided reports of projects that had been awarded grants from the 2018/2019 Community Chest. The report updated the Working Party on the first quarter monitoring of the respective projects listed in paragraph 1.1.3 from April 2018 to June 2018.
The Service Manager (Families and Communities) informed the Working Party that St Nicholas Hospice Care had been allocated funding to deliver Open House Outreach support in Barrow, however on investigation it was felt that numbers would be insufficient. The funding application had therefore been withdrawn and not paid.
Members’ asked questions of the Service Manager relating to some of the organisations that had been awarded grants to which comprehensive responses were provided.
The Service Manager reminded the Working Party that the deadline for receiving Community Chest 2019/2020 applications was Friday 28 September 2018. It was also highlighted that due to the formation of the new single Council from 1 April 2019, the Working Party’s recommendations for funding would be made to the Shadow Executive, whereas previously the recommendations had been made to St Edmundsbury Cabinet.
There being no decision required, the Working Party NOTED the report.
