The Shadow Executive (Cabinet) carries out
functions which are delegated to it by the Shadow Council or fall
within its own scope of responsibility, including the monitoring of
the Implementation Plan and the appointment of the Implementation
Team, which are required as part of creating West Suffolk Council
from 1 April 2019.
The Shadow Executive (Cabinet) is made up of
the Leader of the Shadow Council (elected by the Shadow Council)
and up to 14 other members chosen by the Leader. The members of the Shadow Executive (Cabinet) come
from those with overall political control – currently the Conservative Group.
